Japanese candy
A very popular candy is a maccha kitkat. The maccha kitkat is a green kitkat that is green tea flavoured i would love to try this!!

Another extremely popular candy is kracie pop cookin kits, they are essentially small packets of flavoured coloured powders that you mix together with water and pour into these small little plastic compartments. Its pretty weird to be honest!. I have had one of these before and it's pretty cool and really fun to make it doesn't taste to good but over all it's a really cool experience! Here's a photo to show you. You can get different packs for different foods like hamburgers and soda, candy sushi , cakes, icecreams and so much more it's a really fun experience so if you ever see them in japan you should definitely try it!!!

And last of all another awesome candy is pocky sticks they are cookies in a stick form dipped in different flavoured chocolates i have not tried these but they sound delicious

How did japan Get Its Name

Both Nippon and Nihon literally mean the sun's origin and are often translated as the Land of the Rising Sun. This nomenclature comes from Imperial correspondence with Chinese Sui Dynasty and refers to Japan's eastward position relative to China.

Athletics Day

My highlight of athletics day was surprisingly the 100 meter sprint because i was really not looking forward to because i didn't think i was very fast so i was nervous i would be last but then i came 4th so i was very very very proud of myself and i was so proud of everyone else who did awesome too!!. The most challenging part of the day for me was high jump because i got scared at the bar and ending up not doing any jump after the first one that i got over which was 75cm but i'm glad i gave it a go anyway. Next time i will try make goals before i go to athletics day so that i can try and achieve my goals. Overall i really enjoyed athletics day even though it rained heaps!!

Scientific Method

My Question/ Problem:
  • What Weather is best for growing watercress

Research Notes:

My Hypothesis:
I think that the watercress in the shade will grow the most because the shade will keep the moisture in the seeds to help them grow where as the watercress in the sun will evaporate the water and dry the plant out!

Experiment/ Investigation:
Equipment:
3-4 inches Potting Soil
1 packet Watercress Seeds
Water
A sunny area & a shady area
2 Ice cream containers

Method:
  1. Firstly pour 1-2 inches of potting soil into ice cream containers.
  2. Then use finger to make two small  rows in the soil.
  3. Next sprinkle seeds into the rows and gently cover with soil.
  4. Then softly water the soil and put one  ice cream container in sun and one in shade!
  5. water everyday and measure with a ruler
  6. Record plant growth data
  7. Once fully grown (or as much as you would like them to grow) record what plant grew the most!

Variables
-What is changing (independent variable): the weather (sun & shade)
-What is staying the same (Controlled variables): the type of plant
-What is being measured (dependent variable): the height of the plant

Results:

Conclusion:

Maths Prove Its

Basic multiplication facts 2x , 5x , 10x,
i worked hard to achieve this goal by practising my times tables everyday and asking for help when it was needed!
Here Is My Proof!

Converting Fractions to improper fractions
I thought i knew how to do this but when Elizabeth was checking my work it wasn't quite right. I had the idea right i was just subtracting rather than adding but once we worked it out together i had it nailed!!!
Here is my Proof
